Below are some kinds of home industry. Do you recognize each of them? Have you visited place of those industries? If you have experience about it, retell to your classmates.
Rambutan Goreng is an unique food from Jambi
Rambutan Goreng is a home industry famous in Tangkit Baru village, Kecamatan sungai Gelam, kabupaten Muara Jambi. Many women make this industry in their home. For example Mrs. Siti Arifah, she makes Rambutan Goreng in her house. Five of her workers (they still her natives) always help her in making Rambutan Goreng.
The production of Rambutan Goreng of Mrs. Sity Arifah produced around 15 kilograms each day. She not only sells this Rambutan Goreng to the Markets around Jambi, but also she sells it to the others city such as Palembang and Pekan Baru. Usually, people buy Rambutan Goreng around 30 kilograms in one day. Its mean that Sity Arifah get money around Rp. 690.000/ day.
Sity Arifah tells that the Rambutan fruit that the peel already removed then she uses some ways to make it to be dry. After that, she mixes Rambutan with the flour and give the salt as it needed. This industry that takes place in her house, she has particular rooms to each step of processes to make this food. From removing the peel, frying, drying, until packing the Rambutan Goreng, it uses different places. She always keeps her industry clean and good quality of taste.
The price of Rambutan Goreng is not too expensive, by Rp. 25.000 we can get 1 kilogram of Rambutan Goreng. Many people likes and buy this sweet food, so this industry very helpful for Mrs. Siti Arifah and her family. They can get money from this unique home industry.

 Making Orange Juice        You will need: 1/3 cup of orange juice 1 tablespoon of honey 1 1/2 cups honeydew melon - cut into cubes 1 pint of strawberries - cut in half 2 cups of grapes 1 green apple - cut into cubes 2 oranges - cut in bite-size pieces List of equipments : Measuring cups and spoons A large bowl A whisk or a fork        First, make the dressing by putting the orange juice and honey in a large bowl and mix them well. Then, add the fruit. Next, mix until all the fruit is highly coated with the dressing. After that, Put it in the refrigerator for one hour. Finally, serve it cold . |
