Standard Competence:
12.2 Mengungkapkan makna dan langkah retrorika dalam esei pendek sangat sederhana dengan menggunakan ragam bahasa tulis secara akurat, lancar dan berterima untuk berinteraksi dengan lingkungan terdekat dalam teks berbentuk descriptive dan procedure.


After learning the lesson in this unit, you are expected to be able to :
* Define the procedure text
* Match the pictures of foods which relate to procedure text
* Identifies the verbs that is used in procedure text
* Write their own simple procedure text
* Tell the procedure text






Background of the materials
These materials are the development of my course’s design in the previous assignment. In here, I will focus on “procedure text”. My reasons are first of all, as the background place that is Ma. Bungo. As we know that Ma. Bungo is familiar with its own traditional foods. One of the famous foods is “Sale Pisang”. Second, since Bungo is familiar with its Sale Pisang so that I’m wondering to make my students in SMPN 4 Ma.Bungo knows the process of making Sale Pisang. At last, perhaps by giving these materials my students are aware with their own traditional food. And also they get the advantages and knowledge by learning these materials.

Practice the dialog below with your friend in front of the class.
The dialog takes a place in a school where the students have a rest for a moment.





Siska: Hi Dion! What are you doing?
Dion : Oh hi Siska! I’m now eating my favorite food. It’s so delicious!
Siska: Wow! That’s good! What is your favorite food anyway? Can you tell me!
Dion : Hmmm…. My favorite is Goreng pisang (fried banana). My mom made it for me.
Siska: that’s sounds cool! I wonder how to make fried banana.
Dion : Well. At first, we prepare all the equipments and ingredients for cooking fried banana such as flour, eggs, plain water, salt, etc. after that, we slice the banana into three parts like a shape of fan, then mix flour, eggs, water and salt together and shake it. Last but not least, put the banana into the dough together and fry the banana into frying pan. Just waiting for five minutes until it’s ready to be eaten. What do you think?
Siska: Hmmm… I think that’s easy to do. I will try that sometime. I guess your mom is greatest chef ever!
Dion : Thank you sis, I think your mom does too. Say the bell rings, let us enter the class.
Siska: OK! Let’s go!
